Where it comes from

Three things keep showing up in my work.

My pets. Nine of them share this house. Ghost was found on the street here and can open doors. My first collection is all of them.

Where I'm from. My family is from Oahu. I was raised in Texas. The ocean is the part of Hawaiʻi I carry — it is why Same Ocean exists, the water that connects Hawaiʻi and Japan.

Where I live. Kuwait. The towers in the window, the city after the lamp goes on.

Two collections so far. Other parts of my life will show up as I keep going — Texas one day, maybe. We shall see.

I use AI like a camera. I point it, I direct it, I throw out what's wrong. Those three things are mine, and no tool gives you those.

I live here with Dalal, my wife, and nine pets. The cats were my first cats ever. The dogs were a must-have after we married, and the house has been loud since.

All of it starts in this house. Then it goes out to you.
