The day my job disappeared, a panda showed up.
2012. I'd just been let go. In the middle of all that noise, my imagination handed me one clear picture: a panda riding a rocket. It meant one thing. I am free to create anything I want.
It took me fourteen years, eight facilities, two hundred employees, and one move across the world to act on it. This studio is that panda, finally built.
What Dreams On Kanvas is
I make original art out of my own life and put it on your screens. Wallpapers first, released as collections, one at a time. The animals I live with, the city outside the window, whatever I am inspired by next.
"Dreams" here never only meant the ones you sleep through. It is the picture-making power in your head, the thing that lets you see past whatever today looks like. The kanvas is where it lands.
A finished AI-assisted image can look like everyone else's. The artist's vision is always different.
An artist that is inspired and directs his AI Assistant. I work with AI to create my vision and I am the Hawaiian that brings the inspiration to the creation.
Nothing ships without a story behind it. Nothing ships that doesn't move someone.
Who's behind it
I'm Kaulukukui. Hawaiian first, before founder, before artist. That's the truest thing about me and it is slowly finding its way into the work. Kuwait is home. Dalal, my wife, is why. We live here with nine animals, and the first collection is about exactly that.
There is a bigger story being built here. Original characters, Kuwaiti stories, one day an anime. It starts the way everything here starts. One piece, made properly, then the next.
ʻOhana
ʻOhana means family. The one you're born into, and the one you pick.
Everyone who joins gets the free collection. Same size, same care, same everything as the work I sell. Not samples, not the weaker versions. A gift to the people joining me on this journey.
