Fifteen pandas, coming through the wall.

What can I say besides I love pandas. The chill, playful thing they do.

I wanted these to feel different, so the panda is not standing in a scene. It is coming out of one. A hole torn through a flat wall of colour, and on the other side of it, Japan. It is just enough weird and different that I love it.

WHAT YOU GET

15 art pieces and a signed certificate.

  • A certificate of authenticity with my signature on it

Every piece is signed. Nothing is held back and nothing is upsold later.

PUTTING THEM UP

  1. Buy, then download the zip from the page you land on
  2. Unzip it
  3. On a Mac, open System Settings, then Wallpaper, then Add Photo. On Windows, right click the image and choose Set as desktop background
  4. On a TV, load them onto a USB stick, or use your TV's photo or art app
  5. On a tablet, save to photos, then set as wallpaper

These are 16:9, the shape of most computer screens and TVs. On a screen with a different shape, it will crop or sit with a border.

WHY I MADE IT

Most of my work is one world at a time. You look into it and that is where you are. I wanted to try putting two worlds in the same picture and letting one break the other.

So the front is flat. Big blocks of colour, hard edges, nothing to look into. Then something tears a hole in it, and behind the flat wall there is depth: a temple, a bonsai, mountains, a moon over water.

And standing in the gap, a panda in a kimono wearing sunglasses, completely unbothered.

Japan is in a lot of what I make. Pandas are just what I like. Putting them together was the part that made me laugh, and that is usually a sign to keep going.

USING THEM

Put them on every screen you own. Send one to someone who would like it. The only thing I ask is that you do not sell the files or pass them off as your own. Same terms whether you paid for a piece or I gave it to you.
