Dreamy Kuwait

Dreamy Kuwait art on the screens in a Kuwaiti living room: Kuwait Towers on the television, a pearl diver leaping from a dhow in the framed piece beside it, and a man with a racing camel on the open laptop

This one is my love letter to Kuwait. It was a joy to create, from the iconic places to the nostalgic ones. Kuwait Towers, which to me is the most iconic thing here. The Water Towers, which are an essential part of Kuwait. Souq Al-Mubarakiya, which is an awesome place to visit and go shopping, and Friday Market, which is another great spot. Entertainment City, and some other cultural spots around Kuwait.

The three Kuwait Towers with their blue-green tiled spheres against a bright sky, palms and the Gulf below and the city skyline on the far shore
Kuwaiti pearl divers at work, the scene split at the waterline: crew on the deck of a wooden dhow above and divers gathering oysters on the seabed below
The long covered walkway of Souq Al-Mubarakiya with its wooden roof beams and hanging lanterns, produce and clothing stalls down both sides

Twenty-five pieces.

All twenty-five Dreamy Kuwait pieces shown together in a grid, with the contents: 25 art pieces and a signed certificate

Two of them are not places at all. Pearl divers going over the side of a dhow, and a racing camel walked out past the majlis. That is what people did here, and I wanted that in the collection too.

My wife has shared many stories with me about what Kuwait was like in the past, her culture, and just her love for this place. A lot of this came out of listening to her.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do, as someone who considers Kuwait home.
