Dreamy Hawaii

A warm living room with Dreamy Hawaii art on the screens: Waikīkī Beach and Lēʻahi at sunset on the television, the Haleʻiwa surf shop in the framed piece beside it, and ʻĪao Valley on the open laptop

This collection is Hawaiʻi. The place I am from, and the place I am still getting to know.

As a Hawaiian that grew up on the mainland, there were many things I did not grow up knowing about where I am from. There are many things that I am still learning about my culture as I am growing up, even now as an adult.

It has been a complete pleasure for me to create this collection, which is a variety of places from the island of Oʻahu that many people visit, to Maui and even the Big Island of Hawaiʻi.

The places many people visit — Waikīkī with Lēʻahi behind it, Hanauma Bay, the Nāpali Coast. The aliʻi places on Oʻahu — ʻIolani Palace, Mauna ʻAla, the healer stones sitting in Waikīkī behind a railing. Haleakalā and the Hāna Highway on Maui. Kīlauea and Maunakea on the Big Island. And the ones people do not always get to, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi and Kahoʻolawe.

Waikīkī Beach at sunset with Lēʻahi, Diamond Head, across the water and an outrigger canoe drawn up on the sand
Hanauma Bay from above, the curved reef glowing turquoise inside the old crater rim with the deep blue open ocean beyond it
The Nāpali Coast on Kauaʻi, the fluted green ridges dropping straight into the sea with a strip of beach at their foot

Twenty-nine pieces.

All twenty-nine Dreamy Hawaii pieces shown together in a grid, with the contents: 29 art pieces and a signed certificate

Hawaiʻi is a place that will always be a part of who I am. My parents raised me with Aloha and I share that with my Kuwaiti Family now.

I hope this collection becomes a permanent part of your art collection in your homes!

I will keep building collections out of my own life and telling you where each one came from. I would love to hear what you are working on, My Art ʻOhana…
